Ask Us About Winterizing Your eMoke
Winterize Your eMoke
Once the seasons of fun in the sun come to an end, there will be a few months when your eMoke will see very little action. In order to ensure your eMoke operates at peak performance once you are ready to use it again, follow this guide to storing your electric golf cart for the winter. At Moke America of Lewes, we love helping guests spend years enjoying the luxurious eMoke. Reach out to our team if you ever experience any issues with your low speed electric golf cart.
Keep It Fresh
Your eMoke can go into the next season looking and feeling good as new. Here are our best tips for storing your electric golf cart for winter:
- Clean your eMoke. Any dirt or debris left on the paint could stain and ruin your eMoke forever, so take a damp cloth and remove as much as possible before long-term storage.
- Store your eMoke in a cool, dry place. If you do not have a suitable place to store your eMoke, shop our Moke accessories catalog for a weatherproof cover.
- You do not need to keep your eMoke plugged in all winter long. It’s important for EV batteries to lose a bit of charge occasionally, since this is one of their major functions, so make sure you idle it every couple of weeks to keep the batteries healthy as long as possible. After the idle time, plug in your eMoke and allow it to fully charge before storing it again.
- We recommend checking your eMoke’s batteries about once every three months to make sure their water levels are full and that there is no dust or debris building up.
- Disconnect your eMoke’s batteries if you are unable to perform maintenance throughout the winter. Store the batteries in a cool, dry place. Make sure the location is cool, not cold.
